Two holes to drill, bolted right up. I did not open package for about six months after receipt. I was short two pieces of hardware. Contacted B&W, parts were in the mail that day. This is the second hitch I have ordered. No problems with either one!!

by:

Absolutely love the install process and the look of this hitch. I installed it on my 1989 V30 Crew Cab. Took all of 10 minutes.
My only complaint is how it arrived to my doorstep. Not sure if it’s how these things are shipped or if Shipping dropped the ball but it seems like an easy way to lose parts if you ask me. Only stating this in hopes Etrailer can make a note of it happening.

Hitch worked out great for my project, 1966 ford f250 body on a 1976 ford f250 4x4 highboy frame/chassis. Drilled all new holes to mount to frame. I had concerns because I had to shorten the frame 2 inches to accommodate the 66 long bed and factor original bumper. Thank you for the photos and dimensions of drop for the receiver tube. Hitch looks great and doesn’t hang to low.

by:
1997 Ford F-250 and F-350 Heavy Duty

Had to trim the mounting ears about 3/16” of an inch on either side to clear bumper mounts. Seems very sturdy and well made. Looks good and doesn’t hang down too low on a 97 f250 with standard rear bumper.

I am very impressed with this product. The construction on the class 5 hitch is something to brag about! Very well constructed and made. The welds and craftsmanship looks great. The only mods I had to do, the center holes on the frame were off about a 1/4 inch, it’s was no problem to drill out with the right tools. It is well worth the time to install, took me about and hour. This is why I’m always proud to buy products made in the USA [Thumbs up] The quality of the B&W hitch is unmatched. The process and shipment was fast as well.

Excellent heavy duty hitch. Fit perfect and was easy to install. Fast service.

I’ve hauled lots of hay with mine no issues. Towed the cattle trailer a few times and it worked great. Highly recommend this hitch

by:
2016 Ford F-250 Super Duty

Excellent quality American made hitch, installation went very smoothly onto my 1973 F250 truck. I particularly liked the modular bolt together design of the hitch this made the installation go easier (since it was lighter and less awkward).

I installed inside, then put the back piece into the mounted side and then installed the second side.

The photos are not the best, but hitch tucks up nice and tight to the bumper. Since the capacity is 16,000 lbs, it will definitely handle the new 28' enclosed trailer with ease (close to 10,000 lbs loaded).

by:
1984 Chevrolet C/K Series Pickup

I ordered this hitch for my 84 Chevy D30 military truck. After a few modifications to the existing mounting brackets for the tow hooks and the rear bumper I installed the new hitch assembley. Make sure you loose install all bolts first before tightening. Tighten new hitch assembly last. One of the most difficult parts is getting the Pindel hitch bolts lined up. I would suggest a good tapered line up bar.

by:
1986 Chevrolet C/K Series Pickup

Great hitch, I didn’t even have to drill one hole in the frame on my 1988 GMC v3500, it bolted right in. The receiver tucked under the bumper very good
The only thing I didn’t like was the trailer wiring plug bracket because it didn’t accommodate the new style 7-way and 4-way plug that come on the new Chevy trucks

by:
1968 Ford F-100

Very good quality American made item. It fit my 1968 Ford F-100 perfect. It sits right below my new Fey step bumper and I can't even see it except for the square receiver hole.

Used it 4 times last year to pull my 25 foot Airstream using an equalizer hitch. Still works great!

by:

Fit good on my 88 f250 install was pretty easy. Was worried about it sticking out to far where my truck has a roll pan on it but actually fits pretty good with the roll pan

by:

Awesome product! Just had to drill the center holes on both sides through the frame and it bolted right in. The tracking is by far the best of any online purchase I’ve ever made. Great job guys keep it up

by:

Awesome, delivered on scheduled and installed the same day with ease! High quality materials and easy to follow instructions. The license plate cut out was from the old hitch. The B&W trailer hitch was perfect fit no cutting necessary.

by:
1976 GMC C/K Series Pickup

Fit good as advertised

by:

Instructions sucked, but I figured it out. Works perfectly, thanks

by:

It is a great reciver hitch. Bolted right up to my 1985 chevy k30. I tow all the time so a good strong hitch is important.

Hitch fit perfectly on my 1989 Dodge W150! Took less than an hour to install, only had to drill 2 holes to fasten it to the frame.

by:
1995 Ford F-350 Super Duty

worked perfect on a 95 f350 with a stock hight bumper.

by:

Very sturdy and looks great. I installed it myself laying on cardboard over my gravel driveway. It ws very tight with the drilling and all but if I, a 62 year old geezer can do it, so can you!

by:

I’m 100% satisfied. Dianna A knew exactly what I needed and what I was talking about when I was explaining my needs. The B&W hitch receiver is awesome.

by:

Perfect fit on my chevy 3500 cab and chassis pickup. was missing a few washers but found some to finish install... fast shipping ordered on 3/16 received it 3/22

by:
1985 Chevrolet C/K Series Pickup

I just got this hitch today in the mail, it's awesome! Extremely well built and sturdy and the etrailer box kept it safe no dings or dents even. On a regular Chevy truck it will fit perfectly and installation is very straightforward but I would recommend having a friend help hold it while you get two bolts started. I installed it on a 85 Chevy k30 m1008 military truck. On these trucks people have problems with the shackle mounts fitting with a hitch and this one is no different. Some modifications will be needed to the shackle mounts, or the shackle mounts can be removed.

1 year later and this hitch is everything I said it was in the first review. The powder coating is still in great shape although this truck does not see Ohios lovely salted winter roads.

by:
1988 Ford F-250 Super Duty

This is a really nice, really heavy duty hitch. It also works with other brands of vehicles so if one wanted to could take it off before selling and reuse. (My truck is a 1988 F250) Installation was very straight forward, basically get a helper, hold hitch up to frame, mark bolt holes with pen or starter punch, and then drill consecutively larger holes till you get to 1/2 inch. Bolt up, torque, and you are off to the races. I did not remove the spare tire but wish I had. It made holding the top of the bolts very difficult. Save time and remove the spare tire as your first step.!

This hitch part # BWHDRH25122 is a custom fit for the 1988 F250. It it still a good idea to use the fit guide and make sure it will fit the next truck. It is not a custom fit for every vehicle.

  • Trailer Hitch for 1996 International 3800 School Bus
Your best bet would be to use a universal application/service body hitch like # 41990-07 from Draw-Tite. The hitch has a 16K capacity and is a weld-on application that would offer plenty of capacity. Other customers of ours have used this hitch on school busses, and have found that they work great. The hitch fits frame members up to 44 inches apart, any excess tubing length can be removed if you wish.

Yes, the B&W Heavy-Duty Trailer Hitch Receiver # BWHDRH25122 referenced in your question will fit the 34 inch frame width on your 1977 Ford F-250. This was the common frame width on trucks during that time frame (along with most cab and chassis models of today) and this particular hitch fits that width perfectly. All trailer hitches that fit your 1989 Ford F-350 are going to require drilling, and I also wanted to note that the Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Trailer Hitch # 41952 will not fit your truck; it is designed to fit mid-2010's Ram 3500-5500 cab and chassis. All trailer hitches that do fir your '89 F-350 are going to require drilling, and for a hitch that fits your F-350, a heavy-duty option similar to the one you referenced is going to be from B&W, and will depend on if your '89 F-350 pick-up has...
